the guns of my inner battle reload

the firing is relentless

a barrage of hollow points

shatter tatter rip and ravage

the killing fields are endless

nothing will ever grow here

but nightmares and earthquakes

the blood-stench suffocates

the body bags bear my name

escape is impossible

i watch the horror unfold

and this war is all mine

the shadows speak to me

i can only half-hear

there's a darkness in this night

to a depth i seldom feel

somehow it knows

i don't want to go there

it sets it's hooks deeply

attempting to pull me in

to take me to places i fear

let me alone

let me shut myself to you

steel in my broken teeth

the path tunnels are dark tonight

when did my blue sevenly stars fall?

i have not mapped out the meanings
